A Good Report (4) – Faith and Thanksgiving

 

經文：帖前5:16-18 西3:17 詩50:14,23 100:4 約1:16

(一)   「感恩」的重要

The Importance of Thanksgiving

v     是　神的命令與旨意

It is God’s will and command

──要常常喜樂，不住的禱告，凡事謝恩，因為這是　神在基督耶穌裡向你們所定的旨意。（帖前5:16-18）

         “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (I Thess 5:16-18)

 

v     是榮耀　神並討　神喜悅的途徑

It is the way to glorify and to please God

──凡以感謝獻上為祭的、便是榮耀我。（詩 50:23）

         “Whoever offers praise glorifies me.” (Ps 50:23)

 

v     是聖徒喜樂滿足、更加蒙恩的祕訣

It is the secrete to being a more blessed and joyous saint

──從他豐滿的恩典裏我們都領受了、而且恩上加恩。（約1:16）

         “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16)

 

(二)   信心與感恩的關係

Relationship Between Faith and Thanksgiving

(1) 感恩的生活是信心美好的證據

A life of thanksgiving is a beautiful proof of a life faith

──真信心能使人「凡事謝恩」並且「儆醒感恩」

True faith will cause us to give thanks for all things

(2) 越感恩，信心越增長也越剛強

The more we give thanks the more our faith is increased and strengthened

 

(三) 感恩生活的實行

Exercise a Life of Thanksgiving

──「存感恩的心，說感恩的話，行感恩的事」

         Keep a thankful heart, speak words of thanksgiving, do the things that gives thanks

──「數主恩惠，要一一的數」

Count the Lord’s blessings and count them one by one

(1) 要隨時 / All the time

(2) 要即時 / In time

(3) 要真實 / Be true

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
